Materials are chosen for their longevity and integrity. Vuloiré prioritizes natural elements such as silk, hanji, mother-of-pearl, and genuine Korean jade. Remaining materials from the making process are preserved and upcycled rather than discarded. By maximizing the use of natural, biodegradable materials, we minimize reliance on synthetics such as polyester—a fossil-fuel–derived fibre that sheds microplastics and contributes significantly to water pollution throughout its lifecycle. These environmental costs are inseparable from the logic of cheap, disposable clothing.
Every piece is an ode to nature—not as an image, but as a system shaped by time, restraint, and continuity.
As in our Haute Heritage creation process, we believe in allowing things the time they require. This principle lies at the core of our commitment to sustainability. Nature does not rush, nor does it seek excess; it reveals itself through accumulation, wear, and quiet transformation. In the past, garments were cherished, mended, and handed down across generations. Today, clothing is too often worn briefly and discarded. We work in alignment with nature’s rhythm, making decisions that favor endurance over immediacy.
